My Wand Chose Me -

June 10th -14th, 9:30 am – 12:30, ages 6 and up, $175

Come dive into the music of Harry Potter!  Students will learn popular themes from the movies, study the score and learn about creating music for film.  Plenty of fun will be had with potions, costumes and wands for an exciting musical adventure! 

 

Camp Con Brio, String Camp of the Rockies

June 26th -29th, Golden Bell Camp and Conference Center, $360

Join me in the majestic Rocky Mountains at an overnight orchestra string camp for middle and high school students.  Campers get instruction by some of the Colorado’s best educators in a large ensemble, as well as small group sectional work.  Recreation activities include zip lining, horseback riding, swimming and many more in this active, fun, challenging camp! Music Explorers Camp

July 8th-12th , 9:30-11:30, ages 3-8, $150

Travel around the world with me as we explore music from all over the globe!  Students will get to experience many different types of music through hands on music making.  They will get to try playing violin, piano, guitar, cello and many more while they learn about different cultures and musical traditions. We will have fun dancing, singing and playing music in this great introductory course!

July 15th-19th, 9:00-3:00, ages 9 and up, $325

This two part camp will explore the science of music as well as the pure joy of it.  Students will discover the physics of sound with hands on experiments, learn how string instruments are made (as well as create their own!), and research what music does to our brains, bodies, and emotions.  They will also get to explore why THEY love music through crafts, learning secondary instruments and finding their musical voice.    

 

Summer Lessons

Private lessons will be offered on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the summer.  Lessons are available for all students and you can register for as many as you are able to attend.  Private Lessons are great for students wanting to advance to the next class, keep up their skills over the summer or learn something new and different!  $30/half hour.

Summer Classes

Summer Session runs from June 10th-August 9th for a total of 8 weeks (no class the week of June 24-28).  Any missed classes can be made up with a free private lesson.

Preschool Music Explorers

Mondays 3:00-4:00, $145

A fun introductory class just for preschoolers!  We will learn about music basics such as keeping a steady beat, basic notation, rhythms and pitch through fun activities, singing, dancing and playing various instruments.  Cost is per family and siblings are free!  Best for ages 2-5.

 

Preschool Beginning Violin

Wednesdays 4:00-5:00, $145

This beginning violin class is designed and paced for the young child - perfect for ages 3-6.  We will begin our violin journey with learning how to hold and care for the instrument, names of strings/basic note reading, parts of the instrument and of course how to play our first songs!  We use lots of singing and movement games to keep things fun and exciting.  Students should be potty trained, able to focus and sit for short periods and follow basic directions.

Beginning/Intermediate String Ensemble

Mondays 4:00-5:00, $145

Beginning Cello and Violin students will enjoy learning the basics of how to play their instruments.  Summer is the perfect time to get started!  This class will cover basic playing technique, note reading and ensemble skills.  Also great for continuing students new to an ensemble class.

Beginning/Secondary Cello

Wednesdays 6:00-7:00, $145

A beginning cello class for students who are new to the instrument or are looking to try out the cello as a secondary instrument.  Basic posture, note reading and fun beginning songs will be learned!

Intermediate Violin

Wednesdays 5:00-6:00, $145

Continuing violin students will get to progress on their instruments through scales, technique, solos and fun ensemble pieces.  Open to all violinists working in Suzuki Books 1-3 or the equivalent repertoire.

 

Intermediate/Advanced String Ensemble 

Mondays 5:00-6:00, $145

Ensemble for intermediate violin, viola, cello and bass students playing at or around the Suzuki Book 1-3 level.  Open to everyone and no audition required!  Great way to keep up your playing skills over the summer and play with friends!

Beginning Adult Strings Class

Wednesdays 7:00-8:00 $145

Join us for a fun beginning class for adults!  It's never too late to start learning an instrument or come back to one you haven't touched in a while!  Great for adults who are just starting out or feeling a little rusty on note reading/basic technique.  Class is designed as a fun, no pressure way to relax and make music together.

Advanced/Adult String Ensemble

Mondays 7:00-8:00, $145

Ensemble for advanced students and adults who would like to play challenging repertoire and build ensemble skills.  Great for amateur musicians who want to keep playing or string educators who would like to focus on a secondary instrument.  No audition necessary but you should feel comfortable playing repertoire around or above the Suzuki Book 4 level.
